As a former World's Strongest Man contender and trainer to budding strongmen, Adrian Rollinson knows a thing or two about feats of strength, so we asked him to devise 7 gym-based exercises that'll recreate the strongman events.


Sticking to this programme for a month will improve your performance when you return to your regular routine. Do it 3 times a week in the order shown and rest for 2-4 minutes between each set.


It probably won't be enough to give the competition's legend Mariusz Pudzianowski sleepless nights, but in just a few weeks you'll have added at least 5kg of muscle and be on your way to world-class strength. Just make sure your car isn't in gear when you attempt to pull it with your teeth.
